GO WARHAWKS! ♥️

Fremont and Weyauwega Elementary School 5th grade students recently participated in the STEP (Student Tools for Emergency Planning) program!
Emergencies can happen anytime, and it's important that kids are prepared too. STEP teaches students how to stay safe during emergencies, create a family emergency plan, and build their own emergency kits.
Thanks to Wisconsin Emergency Management and support from TC Energy, our students now have the tools and confidence to help keep themselves and their families safe! ♥️

BRAVO #WegaFremont!
Our talented students truly brought the stage to life with their incredible performance of "Matilda" the musical this past month! 🎭
A huge THANK YOU to our students, staff, parents, families, and community for making this past weekend so special.
Your support and dedication made this production unforgettable!

After the Freshmen and Sophomores did their best on their PreACT this week, they rotated through some fun activities to ease their minds and release some energy! ☀️ 🖍️

We are shouting CONGRATULATIONS from the #WegaFremont rooftops! 📣
Help us celebrate our WF FFA Parliamentary Procedure Team who competed at the sectional FFA speaking contests and for the first time in 15 years, won 1st overall! 🥇
They are headed to the state contest in Madison in June!
We are all so proud of the hard work they have put in to earn this accomplishment.
🌟 Team members include Rio H, Trevor H, Liza P, Helmi L, Raegan F, Lia K, and Nick N. Great Job to Lia K who also competed in the Discussion Meet!

The High School Science Olympiad team has officially qualified for State! 🏆
At the Regional Tournament, they earned 10 medals across 24 varsity events, along with 3 medals from the JV team! ✨
The State Tournament will take place on April 5th at UW-Stout. Great job, and good luck, team! 🎉

Recently, our second graders read the book Bully Beans, where they learned that B.E.A.N.S. stands for Bullies Everywhere Are Now Stopped! 🌟
Through thoughtful discussions, students explored ways to stand up for themselves and others when they see bullying happen. Together, we’re building a school community of kindness, courage, and respect! 🙌 #WegaFremont

First graders read, "Soda Pop Head," in guidance last week as they talked about triggers - things that make us POP! 💥
Knowing what makes us angry is a good way to help us prepare for how to best deal with that situation. ♥️
Great work, Warhawks! #WegaFremont

Chemistry is so much fun!
Mrs. Pope’s fifth grade students experienced what happens when an acid (vinegar) mixes with baking soda. 🧪
Besides gases being formed and filling the space in a bag, some bags expanded so much that they popped.
What a fun activity for our Warhawk learners! #WegaFremont

Congratulations to the following high school WISDAA team members who advanced to the District level after last Monday night's sub-district competition: Parker S., Samantha B., Isaac L., Alyssa L., Renee B., Lauren W., Alyssa L., Luz G., and Laura Perez C. 👏
The team is coached by Ashlee Price and Adrienne Rice. A special thanks to our manager, Helmi Lehto, for all her work in helping the team succeed. ♥️
District will be held on Tuesday, March 18 at Wautoma High School. #WegaFremont

Animal Day was so much fun for Mrs. Pope's fifth grade class!
Thank you Ms. Magdanz and all the FFA high school students who showed us the animals and shared some interesting facts about the animals too.
Did you know chinchillas cannot get wet and they take baths in dirt? 🤔 So interesting!
#WegaFremont

Our fourth-grade students had an exciting time researching a famous person, gathering important facts and key dates about their lives.
To bring history to life, they then dressed up as their chosen figure and participated in a live wax museum, sharing their knowledge with fellow students and parents.
It was a great time for everyone! #WegaFremont

February started out great for our Warhawks!
On February 1st, the Weyauwega Fremont FCCLA Chapter hosted 15 school districts for the Region 4 Regional Leadership Conference!
It was a busy day with just over 100 student competitors competing in a wide range of events some of which included Culinary Arts, Fashion Construction, Focus on Children, and Parliamentary Procedure. All of the students did an amazing job, and we had 16 members of our own Chapter score high enough to advance to the State Leadership Conference that will be held in April! 🌟
Special shoutout to two of our very own #WegaFremont students for their hard work on preparing and presenting at the Conference.
FCCLA State Executive Council Member Lauren W. and FCCLA Ambassador Jalyn L. both did an amazing job presenting and representing Weyauwega-Fremont in a positive way!

Warhawk Powerlifting Brings Home Silver! 🏋️♂️🥈
Warhawk Powerlifting showed their strength at Saturday’s regional meet in Neenah, bringing home three silver medals!
A huge congratulations to Parker S., Bekah L., and Shane M. for earning silver in their weight class and category.
WARHAWK POWER!!! 🔥💪 #WegaFremont

Our High School High Quiz A & B teams faced off against Pittsville last week in an exciting Quiz Bowl competition!
B Team dominated with a 163-71 win!
A Team battled hard and secured a 106-94 victory!
Way to go, teams! Your hard work and dedication paid off. Keep up the great work!

🎳 Science in Action!
All of the Weyauwega-Fremont kindergarteners got to go bowling to wrap up their science unit on pushes and pulls! They had a blast applying what they learned in a fun, hands-on way.
Great job, young scientists! 👏 #WegaFremont

Our Warhawks had an exciting day at Fremont STEM Academy!
Our fifth graders put their engineering skills to the test by building their very own robots—and the best part? They got to drive them around, try to pick up blocks, and interact with other robots! 🤖
Hands-on learning like this sparks creativity, problem-solving, and a love for STEM.
Way to go, future engineers! #WegaFremont

As part of their FCCLA STAR Event project, two of our Warhawk seniors visited Ms. Mendoza's 4th and 5th grade students at Fremont Elementary to share an informative lesson on anxiety and how to cope with it!
The students went through what anxiety is and provided several different creative coping strategies. One of the methods they shared was art therapy. The young students did an amazing job sharing what causes them anxiety and how art therapy can help them cope! 🎨
Thank you seniors for sharing your knowledge and inspiring our young Warhawks! #WegaFremont

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s our Special Ed Heroes saving the day! ✨ #WegaFremont

🚂 All aboard!
Kindergarteners and first graders have been learning about the Regulation Railroad during guidance lessons! This helpful tool teaches students to first notice what’s happening in their bodies before identifying their feelings. From there, they use the Sources of Strength wheel to guide themselves through big emotions and work toward regulation.
Grown-ups, this is a fantastic resource to help your student navigate big feelings—ask them about it! #WegaFremont
