Homeroom

In the 2011-2012 school year, the school day was rescheduled to incorporate a homeroom period.  This was continued into the 2012-2013 school year.  All students in grades 6-12 start their day with this 15 minute homeroom session.  During this homeroom time, students will be participating in different character and relationship building activities.  These students’ grades are also monitored by their homeroom teacher.  The relationships that are built during this time will help the students to succeed in their school career.

Many of the homerooms are participating in community volunteer activities.  Here are just a few:

  • Harbor House Donation Drive
  • Donations of the Weymont Food Pantry
  • Kiss a Goat (donations to buy a needy family in a 3rd world county a life sustaining goat)
  • Buddy reading with an elementary classroom.
  • Visiting an area soup kitchen
