WORK PERMITS

When your student has been hired by a company and they are not 18 years old they are required by the State of Wisconsin to have a work permit, we do submit work permits with the state here at the High School office. The items needed to have a work permit processed are

  • Letter from the employer with their intent to hire, their company name, address and telephone number and an explanation of the work the student will be doing for them.
  • Letter from the parent/guardian that they know their student has been hired and they give them permission to work.
  • One of the following Driver’s license, Birth Certificate, Baptismal Certificate, Passport, Wisconsin ID card.
  • Social Security Card, if you have no card a letter from Social Security Office must be obtained.
  • $10.00 permit fee *NOTE: The $10.00 fee is reimbursed to the minor by the employer by the first paycheck.

During the school year students may bring in their information in the morning for a work permit and then be able to pick it up before leaving school that day.

During the summer work permits will be processed Monday thru Thursday during the hours 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
