The 2014-2015 school year will include a daily block of Extended Learning Time of 25 minutes, at the end of each day. The core philosophy of ELT is focused student-teacher time to ensure all academic needs are met. Students who are proficient in all academic areas will have privileged options during ELT. We believe this time will enhance student achievement for all students as well as personalize education. We realize not all students learn at the same speed. Personalizing education allows us to focus on each student’s ability to learn. Additionally, we want to acknowledge and provide incentives to students who are meeting or exceeding the requirements. Extended Learning Time (ELT) will benefit all students.
When your student has been hired by a company and they are not 18 years old they are required by the State of Wisconsin to have a work permit, we do submit work permits with the state here at the High School office. The items needed to have a work permit processed are
Letter from the employer with their intent to hire, their company name, address and telephone number and an explanation of the work the student will be doing for them.
Letter from the parent/guardian that they know their student has been hired and they give them permission to work.
One of the following Driver’s license, Birth Certificate, Baptismal Certificate, Passport, Wisconsin ID card.
Social Security Card, if you have no card a letter from Social Security Office must be obtained.
$10.00 permit fee *NOTE: The $10.00 fee is reimbursed to the minor by the employer by the first paycheck.
During the school year students may bring in their information in the morning for a work permit and then be able to pick it up before leaving school that day.
During the summer work permits will be processed Monday thru Thursday during the hours 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
