“FOCUSING ON YOUR FUTURE” DAY

On October 19th, all of the high school students had the opportunity to participate in the first annual "Focusing on you Future" Day. 

The FRESHMAN took the EXPLORE assessment, which is the first in the series of preparations for taking the ACT test later in their high school years.

The PLAN assessment was given to SOPHOMORES. This test builds on the EXPLORE test and offers the opportunity to compare a student’s knowledge and progress over the course of their freshman year.

Results for the PLAN and EXPLORE assessments should be back around the end of November and additional communication about results will be forthcoming.

JUNIORS took a practice ACT test. This will expose them to the format of the test, allow them time to assess strengths and weaknesses and ask their teachers questions before they take their actual ACT test in spring.

The SENIORS attended four informational/workshop sessions to help them prepare for life after high school. All seniors have selected 4 sessions they feel would best benefit their future.
